John Redmond, MDBoard Certified & Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Redmond earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School (Minneapolis, MN). He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN), where he was recognized with numerous honors, including the Joseph M Janes Award, the Mayo Clinic Award for Knowledge in Orthopedics, the Mayo Clinic Award for Clinical Competency and the Mayo Clinic Trauma Resident of the Year award, reflecting his compassion, competence and dedication to orthopedic surgery.

Following his residency, Dr. Redmond completed fellowship training in Advanced Hip Surgery and Minimally Invasive Joint Replacement at the American Hip Institute (Westmont, IL), where he served as team physician for Hinsdale High School, the WNBA Chicago Sky and the Joffrey Ballet. Dr. Redmond gained additional experience as an assistant professor at Mayo Clinic Florida (Jacksonville, FL) and serving Nemours Children’s Hospital (Jacksonville, FL), where he treated complex hip disorders.

Dr. Redmond’s clinical expertise focuses on hip preservation, complex hip conditions and hip and knee replacements. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and regularly lectures internationally on hip conditions and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Redmond is also board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
