Dr. Bell graduated from the University of Colorado, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. After his time in Colorado, Dr. Bell received his M.D. at the University of Tennessee where he earned the Faculty Medal for the highest academic achievement in the College of Medicine by graduating top in his class. During his time studying medicine, Dr. Bell was the recipient of many other achievements including the Charles J. Deere Scholarship awarded for academic excellence and selection into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Bell completed his orthopedic residency at Carolinas Medical Center/OrthoCarolina where he served as Chief resident and received awards for excellence in research and teaching. He further specialized his training with an adult reconstruction fellowship at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, FL where he developed expertise in the evaluation and management of patients with hip and knee problems and surgical treatments such as primary and revision hip and knee replacement. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. His current Total Joint Practice serves the Southern Duval County, St Johns County, Nocatee, Mandarin, Clay County, Orange Park and Southside Areas of Jacksonville, Florida.
