Total Knee Replacement. August 29,2023
Dr. Bell is a highly professional, knowledgeable and personable orthopedic doctor. I was nervous after a not so good outcome of my hip replacement by another doctor, but Dr. Bell put me at ease at my first office visit and I felt very confident that he would give me the best possible outcome. Now, 6 weeks past surgery, not only do I have a fully functioning knee and leg, but he was able to relieve me of the pain and imbalance my earlier hip replacement had caused me to have when walking. For the first time in 2 years I can walk without a cane and without pain. He gave me back my mobility at age 84. Dr. Bell is not only a miracle worker but also a fantastic person. I highly recommend him and feel fortunate to know such a great doctor. He is the best!!!

Dr. Bell has been a blessing. He took such good care of my grandma and gave her instant relief right after surgery. Phillip bell was dedicated and gave her a quality of life again and she is not in pain anymore, she is comfortable now with her new hip replacement living her best life. I honestly can't recommend him enough. I actually feel bad for people who have unsuccessful hip replacements because all I want to say is, "I wish you could have gone to Dr.Bell."

I had planned to have my surgery in New York at a hospital I worked at with a known MD I worked with but we moved to Florida ,gratefully, here I worked in a hospital that Dr Bell did his surgery’s I loved his patients outcomes they did really well , so I decided to have Dr Bell do my total knee replacement well I couldn’t be happier my knee is great pain free and I can resume all my activities I’m am so grateful to him ,his skills are outstanding plus he’s the nice man professional and a great surgeon , I highly recommend him for all orthopedic surgeries!!!

My recovery from knee surgery performed on August 2 has been quick! My home PT stated he loves working with Dr. Bell's patients because we recover quickly .My scar is very minimal.

I’m 50 years old and I recently had to have both of my hips replaced due to a disease called Avascular necrosis.
Both surgeries were performed by Dr. Bell, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the moment I met him, I was impressed by his professionalism and great bedside manner.

We met Dr Bell when he happened to be the on-call orthopedic surgeon when my husband broke his fibula. At that same time I knew I was going to need a knee replacement soon so we made one of my husband’s follow-up appointments into a “two-fer” and I scheduled my procedure for several months out, when we figured my husband would be walking comfortably again. We both found him to be knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate. My knee replacement recovery was amazingly uneventful. I was surprised that I had no pain and could walk near-normally the next day, although I did keep my walker close by. (I’m not crazy and I knew I didn’t want to fall!) I did the physical therapy and returned to my water aerobics classes at 6 weeks. I’m now a year out and would highly recommend Dr. Bell.

My left hip had seriously deteriorated and i was sent to Dr. Bell. He made me feel at ease right away with his professional yet very pleasant demeanor. My surgery went well and I healed quickly. Dr. Bell is a great surgeon.

After several years of knee pain I finally decided to have a total knee replacement done. After much research online, I found Dr. Philip Bell, who is with Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute. I went for a consultation with Dr. Bell and he was absolutely wonderful. He explained the entire procedure to me in great detail. I had my surgery done mid June at Baptist South and it has turned out to be the best decision I ever made. His staff is very knowledgeable and is always there to answer any questions you may have. If you are considering having a knee replacement (or hip replacement) Dr. Bell is the one to call. You will not be disappointed!
